Annual Update?! O_O

Oh My gosh I'm such a bad Xanga-er. lol  The last entry seriously was March of last year huh?
So much has happened since... I was inspired to come back on Xanga today because of a friendly filmmaker Michael Discullo who phoned me and mentioned the word XANGA.  Then I remembered, "That's right! I still have a Xanga account don't I?!"  (oops *laughs*)

I have a myspace account now!  Created by my cool brother:

Ummm.. updates... Okay here we go:

HOUSE was great to work on.  Hugh Laurie surprised me when I spoke to him because I didn't know he was English.  He's so good with his accent, very supportive and helpful.  I was a nervous young actress on set.

ER was full of goofy people.  They were playing pranks on each other and me, and I almost fell for one of the pranks.  Very professional crew and wonderful people.  Great director, Great set.  I was very happy and felt very fortunate to be there.  I am so grateful to John Frank Levey and Lesli Glatter.

Studio 60 set is amazing, full of brilliant writing, brilliant directors, brilliant actors, fun cast and crew, hilarious cast members, long hours.  Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet were on another unit so I only saw them occasionally during table reads.  I got to work closely with the rest of the amazing family on Studio 60.  They're all very funny people.  I laughed a lot on set, and a large part of the laughing was due to the witty and hilarious comments made by Nate Corddry, Steven Weber, DL Hughley, Tim Busfield.  Camille Chen is a sweetheart as always.  Finally, the crew and the filmmakers and writers behind the show brought it to life.  An amazing set with so much going on.  The producers and executive producers never cease to amaze me.

The O.C. was awesome.  Poor Willa Holland was sick though and she kept on going.  What a trooper she was! And of course she's cute and pretty as always.  I got to play a band geek, which is definitely different from roles I am used to.  I thought that was really fun to play the band geek, because it's something very different to explore and fight for.  I LOVE love love the casting director's smile (Patrick Rush).  He just looks like such a wonderful person.  Patrick Norris was the director.  It's unfortunate the show is coming to a close.

CINDER:  well, the short I produced, co-wrote and starred in, with the amazing line producer Marvin Cheng, who did so much more than just line producing; Gentle VanDeburgh whose name I can never quite spell but would adopt as my sister without hesitation; Jason Jury the uberl33t director and writer. Deb, Yuki, Layla, John-David Buxton, Johnny W. Ching, everybody everybody!  Yeah, we're still working on it.... Unfortunately we're going on turtle-marathon speed. Here's the website:

Golden Globes was spectacular and fun and amazing. and I met a lot of very sweet people.
My favorite story to tell, of course, was the one about Leonardo Di Caprio:
I was waiting in line at the ladies room when all of a sudden, a star who shall remain anonymous went by with his bodyguards and assistants.  One of his bodyguards literally knocked me over.  And in the middle of falling, Leonardo Di Caprio grabbed my hand and saved me from the fall, and asked "Are you okay?"  I told him that he’s my hero, and everybody laughed.

It was truly inspirational to be there.  These amazing directors and actors and filmmakers and behind-the-scene production managers.  How many hundreds and hundreds of people who put in their sweat and toil just to make something like this event come to life.  Would I ever have that potential or capacity to help others and make amazing projects come to life too?

I felt so honored to meet Steven Spielberg, the cast from Heroes.  I was thoroughly embarrassed when I didn't recognize Milo because his hair was different.  He's a real sweet person.  Reese Witherspoon (just as perky as her character in Legally Blonde); Matthew Perry for the 5th time, who told me I was lovely as he went out to smoke a cigarette, Drew Barrymore, Tom Hanks,   Sarah Paulson asked me where Felicity Huffman but I didn’t know.

In the green room, I visited my favorite costume designer, Warden Neil (8-time Emmy Award sweet, gentle, kindhearted man)  and he put me in a chair next to Tim Allen, really funny guy.

That's where I also bumped into Cameron Diaz with what must have been twenty cups of coffee in her system.  She had a beautiful fluffy white dress on and was real fun to watch as always.

Martin Scorcese slapped me on the back.  Hugh Laurie I could not find.  Instead, I bumped into Hugh Grant.

Hillary Swank was very classy as always and along with Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansen are heroes to me.  I'm now a fan of Will Smith's, because he's such a charming, kind and gentle person.  Brad Pitt and Sandra Oh were on the quiet side.

Arnold Schwarzeneggar had crutches on.  And I met his coworker, John, who sat next to me at the table.

We sat next to Germans at our table.  One of the Germans didn't speak English, which made the night even more fun.  I love a good German conversation.

She told me that she won a ticket to visit America.  The other German that DID speak English was a Chemical Engineer.  I found that to be very cool and of course, brought back memories of when I was a Chemical Engineering student at UCLA.

The food was amazing.  Delicious. The wine bottles are heavier than me.

The after parties were really cool.  Lots of delicious all-you-can-eat sushi at the NBC party, which was the highlight of my evening.

And at the WB party, the folks were handing out GODIVA chocolates and boxes of them.  Grab what you want!   FOX party, Paramount party...  I was lucky enough to have VIP to all of them.  I met up with my friend James Kyson Lee, currently on HEROES, and we took photos together with his actress friend, Lisa Tamashiro outside on the red carpet.

The biggest sense memory of the Globes and afterparties was the nice freezing temperature.  Because women aren’t allowed to wear a coat outside on the red carpet during photos.

And I think that shall pretty much wrap up the Golden Globes!

In other news, I met some people I really like this past year from all around the United States.  I miss my friends and I love my family, and my man is still in Iraq.  One year deployments are long, and often times they stay longer, then they get deployed again and again.  It's hard on family, and it's hard on me, but I'm so fortunate to have a wonderful family and supportive people around me who help me get through the times.

I also discovered the best sushi place in the world, called SUSHI ON BRAND.  It's on Brand, in Glendale CA.

And yesterday I helped out  a chemical engineering friend of mine.  Quinn, Yoshi and Mike Perez were also sweet and helped her too.

Vu is back from Iraq and working hard.  His sister Karyn is an amazing woman who does everything, and does them well.  Her boyfriend is a cool filmmaker but I've only met him once.

Finally hooked up with Daphne again... seriously 5-6 years since I'd seen her.  Last time I saw her was high school graduation, and we call each other best friends! Then of course there's Sophia, Pearls and Diana, my elementary school  muskuteers; and Jenny and Julianna for a nice lunch at Porto's.

My new assistant Sommer Green, who is smart, kind and responsible.  Amazing agents, manager, publicist...

This world is full of good people.  I've met many of the bad ones and was discouraged at one point in my life, but I'm just so happy there are so many good people.

omg.. there's "title" too? I'm so outxangaed -_-

Do you see any problem with writing in this once a year?  Wow Xanga is so different!  It's got... cute little buttons, and so much more. (laughs)

Thanks for the support to those who watched my ER episode.  I've also got a House episode (Fox) coming up, so maybe you'll catch it too!  Producing some new films aside from acting.  But anyway, putting work aside, I wanted to share A beautiful voice, a beautiful song:

Celtic Woman - Send Me A Song

Take the wave now and know that you're free.

Turn your back on the land, face the sea.

Face the wind now so wild and so strong.

When you think of me, wave to me and send me a song.

Don't look back when you reach the new shore.

Don't forget what you're leaving me for.

Don't forget when you're missing me so.

Love must never hold, never hold tight but let go.

Oh the nights will be long when I'm not in your arms.

But I'll be in this song that you sing to me.  Across the sea.

Somehow, Someday.

You will be far away, so far from me.

But maybe one day, I will follow you in all you do...

Til then, send me a song.

Girlfriend upset.  On the phone with boyfriend seeking comfort.

Boyfriend says to her:  "I don't particularly like talking about things that aren't fun at 2:30 in the morning"

Girlfriend says:  "okay. good nite"

Boyfriend says: "good nite"
